its oscar sunday!!

and as a movie lover, its one of my favorite nights...i love the glamour of old hollywood, and quite frankly in these days of the paparazzi and gossip mags, you don't see much glamour in hollywood until award season rolls around...so oscar night is a chance to: a)see all the actors dressed to the nines...and hope somebody like cher decides to "go for broke" in the dress department...(i am easily entertained...and it is fun to see them all decked out)...and b) see what movies and performances are considered the "best" so i can be sure to check them out at some point in the future...of course the best is subjective but as the oscars are voted on by other oscar winners it is interesting to see what they like...

that being said for your entertainment and pleasure i give you the bernard pivot questionnaire from "inside the actor's studio"...this is the bravo show where the host, james lipton wraps up his obsequious interviews with this little quiz...(hey, ya gotta love any chance to use the $1000 words, and yes i had to use spell check to get it right...)anyway, the questions are interesting, i love hearing how people answer and it has always been my favorite part of that show...so to all 4 of you who may or maynot be reading my little blog...do me a favor and send it back to me with your own answers...(copy, paste into an email, erase my answers, insert your own and send back to me...)
tonight i will be drinking wine, eating a big bowl of buttered popcorn and soaking up what little glamour there is to be had in hollywood! Cheers!!

Barack Obama: President of the United States of America

What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.
This is the price and the promise of citizenship.
